“Hello,” Said a elegant lady with bright blue eyes. “Hi…” Replied another girl with amber eyes. The first lady smiled, “This is odd, finding myself talking with you again.” The dusty girl blinked, “Oh, yes it is my lady.” She replied with a slight bow. The lady said looking distant, “No need think of me as a queen anymore, as we both know, dreams never keep.” The dusty, and ragged girl spoke, “Yeah, but suppose we could have half a dream.” The blue eyed lady was taken back, “Oh no, Autumn, half a dream could be worse.” Autumn glanced sideways, “Well, imagine you could break me out of this prison, I’ll help bring your throne back.” She said hopefully. The queen was also hoping this could work out, but she just frowned, “Never, could I indarger my subjects,” Autumn rolled her eyes and said, “Subjects?” she grinned, “Why, you don’t have any subjects anymore.”
"Okay, fine, I’ll break you out, but you have to promise to help bring the throne back to me,” The queen said after some thought. Autumn smiled, “Good.” The queen nodded and turned to the guard, “Hello, sir.” She said, “May I take a peek at the key? I’ve been interested in the art of keys since I was a kit, and I have never seen a jail key, they must be so complex and soo…” The queen said thinking of the right word, “So squinsenolicish.” Of course this wasn’t a word, but the queen decided it must sound expert like. The guard seemed confused and the queen took this time to say, “Haven’t you heard of the word? I thought all guard knew what it meant.” The guard smiled, “Yeah I know that word, it means-” The queen interrupted, “Yes, yes, of course you know that word, I was just testing you. And since you know it means ‘all should be able to use’, you can tell I’m asking to hold it, because I love keys so dearly.” The queen said and faked her disappointment when the guard said, “Yes I know what it means, but I’m afraid I can’t give you the key, you see, this-” The guard said looking at Autumn “-girl is very dangerous.” The queen looked at Autumn in hope. Autumn made a motion to keep going on, so the queen said, “Oh guard, you wouldn’t let your number one fan down? Can’t you see keys my favorite subject, and without that key in my collection then I’d be utterly lost. Well, without even borrowing the key for a day I’d be utterly lost! Or even just touching that halutionphintistalcul-” again the queen had made up a word “-key I’d be lost. I mean, can’t you see? Your number one fan is asking for one simple thing…” The queen said beggingly. The guard sighed, “Oh okay, but you have to give it back tomorrow.” The queen smiled, “I will, promise.” Just as the queen was about to leave, she secretly slipped the key under the bars, to Autumn. The queen smiled at the guard and left the jail. Autumn reached for the key and gazed at it in her palms, “Wow,” she breathed.
Later it grew dark, and the guard looked at the door sleepily. He was tired from the long day and it seemed he’d drift off to sleep any minute. Autumn looked at him patiently, her plan was going to start once he was snoring. Of course I can’t tell you the plan, or that would spoil the plot, but you can probably guess it has something to do with getting out of prison unnoticed. Once Autumn heard the guard snoring softly, she unlocked the door. Autumn opened the door slowly, not making a noise. Once the door was opened enough to let her through, she slowly walked through the door. Autumn looked around, all the other imprisoned cats were sound asleep, and it was almost peaceful. But Autumn knew that a jail was never meant to be peaceful. Neither did it serve her a peaceful stay. Autumn felt half bad that she couldn’t save these cats, break them out, even if she chose to, the plan would have some flaws, she could get captured again, or worse.
As a child Autumn never thought she’s see this place. But now it’s highly likely she’d be brought back here. You may want to believe Autumn is a kind, nice character. But that is false, Autumn is a thief and once in her life she murdered, not on purpose of course, but still it comes with a high punishment. You could think of her as a pirate or a ninja, but she’s just a little girl.
Autumn snuck out of the room and into a long corridor, this had served as some type of fame wall, all the famous guards and such. Though Autumn only payed attention of the picture of a queen. This was her sister, Arabelle, the one who had broke her out, she did look pretty, charming, and sweet, but this picture took Autumn by surprize. Autumn had known that the queen was very popular, but never was she this royal and pretty. The picture was framed in pure gold and the queen wore a robe of silver with gold chains and laces. Her crown was practically full diamonds, and her eyes shone of calmness and joy. She was happy and smiling her true smile. Autumn at first thought this was a fake portrait, but no one could mistake her nice lively sister. Normally her sister would be sad or mournful. The death of their parents still had a sad toll on the two sisters lives. Autumn thought this picture must of been taken a while ago, but the picture of Arabelle seemed brand new. Autumn would like stay and enjoy this picture, but she didn't have time to linger. Autumn thought she would never see Arabelle this happy, and joyful.. You could say her head wasn't spinning right. You could even ignore this part, but Autumn went and reached for the picture. She snatched right off the wall and raced out of the room. With the picture clutched in her hands, she ran.
Autumn felt like she had ran at least 5 miles, as she lay under a lonely willow tree. The shade was of a little comfort, but Autumn felt as if it were the best thing to happen. ¨Boy,¨ She sighed, ¨That was...¨ Autumn didn't know what to say, she had stolen, again. This artifact was probably priceless. Or at least a lot of money. Autumn stared down at the picture, "Wow,¨ she breathed, it was even more reassuring than she remembered. But then she did remember, Autumn was to make Arabelle queen again, how was she supposed to do that? Autumn almost panicked. She stared at the painting, wide eyed. ¨How.." She wondered, then it hit her like a bolt of lightning. Autumn knew this might come in handy sometime. Her skill as a thief.
¨Hello sir,¨ Said Autumn. ¨How may I help you on a fine morning like today?¨ Answered the clerk. Autumn lifted up a paper and replied, ¨I was wondering if you could add this paper to the 'Castle Times', I just spotted a mishap, or so you could call it,¨ The clerk squinted at the paper and muttered, ¨A thief on the loose you say,¨ Autumn nodded, ¨Yes, indeed.¨ The clerk tilted his head in disbelief, ¨And if someone catches this 'thief', you're supplying a reward of $1000 gems.¨ Autumn bit her lip while saying, ¨Yes, sir,¨ The clerk stared at her and said, ¨Well, okay...¨ Autumn nodded, and the clerk took the paper to the back room, he came back to the desk and said, ¨You may leave now.¨ Autumn smiled and she turned around and walked out the door.
¨Wanted with wanted posters, putting up those pesky wanted posters, wonder what to do when the wanted is done, gonna reward the wanted finder, puttn' up those pesky wanted posters, gonna watch out for wanted, wanted posters.¨ Autumn quietly sang as she nailed the handmade wanted posters to the billboard in the coffee shop. A big chubby man behind her said, ¨Wanted posters, eh?¨Autumn turned her head, ¨Yes, sir, they are wanted posters,¨ She replied, then turned back to the billboard. The man smirked, ¨Gee, what a hefty reward.¨ He said roughly. Autumn nodded, ¨Yes, well this thief stole more than that sum of money.¨ The man scratched his forehead and replied, ¨Wonder if it's the same thief that escaped the prison o' west of here.¨ Autumn spun around, ¨Uh, no, I really, that, no sir, not true, I'm not-¨ She was thinking as fast as she could, ¨Um, really, nothing the same, not me, no, not a wink, sir.¨ She finished and looked down quickly. The man stared at her. Autumn bit her lip. The man finally said ¨Okay then...¨ Autumn was grateful he hadn't spoke of anything related of thieves the rest of the morning.
Autumn finished up the wanted posters and ordered an espresso. She sat down in a comfy chair and slurped some of her milky white cream. The girl sitting in a seat across from her was reading the newspaper. On the back of the paper Autumn saw an article titled 'Thieves in City' Autumn merely glimpsed at the paper, but it was long enough to see a picture of her. Under the picture was a caption, 'Thief tells office about other thief' Autumn was stunned, how did they know it was her? The lady looked up from the newspaper and asked, ¨Miss, are you alright?¨ Autumn nodded and just kept staring blankly at the newspaper. The lady looked at her, ¨Oh, alright then.¨ She casually said. Autumn suddenly woke from her trance, ¨Uh, sorry, just.. May I borrow the paper?¨ The lady handed Autumn the paper, ¨Here.¨ She said and tipped back on her sunglasses. ¨Never liked the 'Castle Times' anyway.¨ Autumn nodded gratefully and pretended to look at her watch, ¨So sorry, I just lost track of time, hmm, already 2:00!¨ Autumn quickly stood up and waved her hand in farewell, and rushed out of the room. The lady in the sunglasses just looked at her curiously. ¨Hmm, I bet she was the girl on the back cover,¨
¨All aboard!¨ The captain of the finest train called. The train was a sight to see, the smoke was glistening in the afternoon sun and people were bustling every which way. The whole train seemed to built of the finest metals, and the captain looked tall and kind. He grinned in a way that seemed welcoming to everyone. ¨All aboard for CrystalVille!¨ He called again. A little boy, about seven or eight who wore overalls and a little train hat called, ¨Mommy! Look!¨ He pointed to the train, ¨Mommy, can I meet the captain?¨ The boy said while clutching his moms hand. The mother smiled and said, ¨Oh yes, Tommy.¨ The boy, Tommy, smiled, ¨Come, faster Mommy!¨ He said while tugging his mom through the crowd. Tommy pointed to the train, ¨Mommy, are we really going to ride in it?" The mom nodded, ¨Oh, you bet you are.¨ she said and kept following Tommy. ¨Mommy! Mommy! This going to be so fun.¨ Tommy cheered. His mother replied, ¨Yes, it is, we are even going to visit your aunt in CrystalVille.¨
